Follow up on a signature request

How to send a reminder for a pending signature request in Tomorro?

Updated over a week ago

When you send a contract for signature via Tomorro, signatories automatically receive email reminders every 5 business days (up to 3 times), without any action required on your part.

Follow up with a signatory from the contract

All contract participants can follow up with a signatory directly from the contract by sending a reminder email.

  • Open the relevant contract

  • In the Signature section, click the three dots next to the signatory

  • Select Send Reminder

  • Confirm the reminder.

An email is then sent to the signatory.

Each reminder sent — whether a signature reminder or a negotiation reminder — triggers the creation of an activity on the contract.

This feature works for both Tomorro and DocuSign signatures.

You can also follow up with the signatory manually if needed.

Manually follow up on a Tomorro signature

If the automatic reminders have already been sent but the contract is still not signed, you can manually follow up in two ways:

Share the contract link

  • Click Share

  • Copy the contract link

  • Send it directly by email to the relevant signatory

Mention the signatory in the activity

  • Add a comment in the Activities tab

  • Mention the signatory with @signatoryname

The signatory will then receive an email notification.

These actions often help to quickly unblock a situation without waiting for the next automatic reminder.

Manually follow up on a DocuSign signature

If the signature request was sent via DocuSign, the follow-up must be done from your DocuSign account:

  • Log in to your DocuSign account (via the account that sent the contract).

  • From the home page, click "Waiting for others".

  • Find the relevant document and click "Resend".

The signatory will then receive a new DocuSign signature email.
