When a contract is already in the signing process, Tomorro allows you to either cancel the process entirely or reassign a signatory.
Edit a signatory's name (without cancelling the signature)
This feature is reserved for the counterparty signatory.
If the signatory's email address is correct but their first or last name needs adjusting, no action is required on the contract side.
When accessing the document or at the time of signing, the signatory can:
edit their first name,
edit their last name,
directly in the identity confirmation screen or in the signing window.
Only the email address cannot be modified by the signatory.
In that case, a signatory reassignment is required.
Cancel a signature process
The person who initiated the signature can cancel it. If the signature is still at the accepted or prepared stage (not yet sent to the signatories), cancellation is more broadly accessible to members with rights on the document.
If it is a DocuSign signature that has already been sent, only the issuer (the person who created the send for signature) can cancel it. If another person attempts to cancel a sent DocuSign, the action will be refused.
Open the contract
Go to the relevant contract in Tomorro.
Verify that it is in "Signing" status (green indicator at the top of the page).
Access the menu
Click the "…" at the top right of the screen.
Select Cancel signature process.
Add an explanatory note
A confirmation window opens.
Add a note explaining the reason for cancellation.
All signatories, internal and external, will automatically be notified by email.
Confirm
Click Cancel signature to confirm.
The signing process will be interrupted immediately.
All participants will receive a notification, and you will be able to restart the signature later once the necessary changes have been made.
To restart the signature, follow the procedure described in this article: Restart a signature request.
Reassign a signatory
Any member with the right to edit the signature on the contract can reassign a signatory.
If a signatory is unavailable (absence, departure, incorrect address), you can reassign their signature to another person without cancelling the entire process.
Once the signature has been started, reassignment is only possible for the Tomorro signature. For a DocuSign signature that has already been sent, reassignment will be blocked.
Open the signatories tab
From the contract, go to the Signatories section (on the right of the screen).
Click the "…" next to the signatory to be replaced.
Edit the signatory
Select "Edit" to open the signatory reassignment window.
Enter the new address
Enter the new signatory's email address.
The new signatory must be a real person: it is not possible to reassign to an empty signatory.
All signatories (internal and external) will be automatically notified by email of the change.
Confirm
Click "Edit" to confirm the reassignment.
The signing process will automatically resume with the new signatory.
