Send a signature reminder

How can you remind a signer when the contract has not yet been signed?

Updated over a week ago

When you send a contract for signature via Tomorro, signers automatically receive email reminders every 5 business days (up to 3 times) without any action required from you.

Send a reminder from the contract

If you are a contract administrator or contract owner, you can remind a signer directly from the contract by sending a reminder email.

  • Open the relevant contract

  • In the Signature section, click the three dots next to the signer

  • Select Reminder

A reminder email is then sent to the signer.

This feature works for both Tomorro and DocuSign signatures.

If you do not have access to the reminder option from the contract, you can follow up with the signer manually.

Manually remind a Tomorro signature

f the automatic reminders have already been sent but the contract is still not signed, you can follow up in two ways:

Share the contract link

  • Click Share

  • Copy the contract link

  • Send it directly to the signer by email

Mention the signer in the activity

  • Add a comment in the Activities tab

  • Mention the signer using @signatoryname

The signer will receive a notification.

These actions can often help move the signature process forward without waiting for the next automatic reminder.

Manually remind a DocuSign signature

If the signature request was sent via DocuSign, the reminder must be sent from your DocuSign account:

  • Log into DocuSign using the account that sent the contract.

  • On the home page, click “waiting for others”.

  • Find the relevant document and click “resend”.

The signatory will receive a new email inviting them to sign via DocuSign.
