Use DocuSign with Tomorro to sign a contract

How to use the DocuSign integration in Tomorro to sign a contract?

Updated over a week ago

Tomorro allows you to use DocuSign to send a contract for electronic signature, while centralising tracking and archiving within the platform.

Advantages:

  • Use your existing tool — Send your contracts via DocuSign if your organisation already uses it.

  • Centralise tracking — Monitor the signature status directly from the contract in Tomorro.

  • Archive automatically — The signed PDF and the signature date are automatically added to the contract summary sheet.

Connect your DocuSign account

Before sending a contract for signature, connect your DocuSign account from the integration settings.

The connection is required for each user who wishes to send contracts via DocuSign.

Prepare the contract

  • Create the contract in Tomorro, or import an external document (PDF or Word).

  • Ensure that: the content is finalised, any approvals are completed, and required fields are filled in.

Launch the signature

  • Click Send at the top right.

  • Select Prepare signature. If the option is greyed out, check that all modifications, approvals, and required fields have been completed.

  • Verify that the selected tool is E-signature DocuSign.

Add signatories

Add internal signatories

Select members of your organisation.

Add counterparty signatories

Enter the email address or select an existing contact. Multiple signatories per party can be added.

Configure signature zones

Position the necessary fields in the document:

  • Signature zone

  • Initials

Good to know: Depending on your DocuSign configuration, you may adjust fields directly in DocuSign when creating the envelope, before the final sending.

Add attachments to the DocuSign signature envelope

Add any necessary attachments to the DocuSign signature envelope. These documents will be included in the signing process. If you want an annex to also be signed, add signature zones directly on it.

Send the contract for signature

  • Validate the preparation.

Button is greyed out? This usually means that at least one signature zone has not yet been added to the contract. Add the missing signature zone(s) to be able to validate the preparation.

  • Add a message for signatories (optional or predefined by your administrators).

  • Add an approver (optional or predefined by your administrators in the approval workflows).

  • Click Send for signature or create the envelope in DocuSign according to your integration settings.

Cancel the signature process

If you need to cancel a signature:

  • Click "..." at the top right of the contract page.

  • Select "Cancel signature process".

You will be able to restart the signature later by following the steps described above.

Important: If the envelope was sent via DocuSign, only the person who created and sent the envelope can cancel it, whether from DocuSign or from Tomorro.

Signature tracking

The status is automatically updated in Tomorro: Waiting or Signed. If you wish to follow up with signatories, this must be done directly from DocuSign.

Once signed:

  • The final PDF is added to the contract.

  • The signature date is automatically recorded.

  • The contract is stored in your repository.
