Use DocuSign with Tomorro to sign a contract

How to sign a contract or an external document with DocuSign from Tomorro?

Updated this week

Tomorro allows you to use DocuSign to send a contract for electronic signature while centralizing tracking and archiving within the platform.

Benefits

  • Use your existing tool
Send your contracts via DocuSign if your organization already uses it.

  • Centralize tracking
Monitor the signature status directly from the contract in Tomorro.

  • Archive automatically
The signed PDF and the signature date are automatically added to the contract summary.

Connect your DocuSign account

Before sending a contract for signature, connect your DocuSign account from the integration settings.

Each user who wants to send contracts via DocuSign must connect their own account.

Prepare the contract

  • Create the contract in Tomorro, or

  • Import an external document (PDF or Word).

Make sure that:

  • The content is finalized

  • Any required approvals are completed

  • Mandatory fields are filled in

Start the signature process

  • Click Send in the top right corner.

  • Select Prepare signature.

If the option is disabled, ensure that all edits, approvals, and required fields have been completed.

  • Verify that the selected tool is E-signature DocuSign.

Add signatories

Add internal signatories

  • Select members of your organization.

Add the counterparty’s signatories

  • Enter the email address or select an existing contact.

It is possible to add multiple signatories per party.

Configure signature fields

Place the required fields in the document:

Good to know

Depending on your DocuSign configuration, you may be able to adjust the fields directly in DocuSign when creating the envelope, before final sending.

Add attachments or exhibits to the DocuSign envelope

  • Add attachments to the DocuSign signature envelope if needed.

  • These documents will be included in the signature process.

If you want an exhibit to be signed as well, add signature fields directly to that document.

Send the contract for signature

  • Validate preparation.

Is the button greyed out?

This usually means that at least one signature field has not yet been added to the contract. Add the missing signature field(s) to validate the preparation.

  • Add a message to the signatories (optional or predefined by your administrators).

  • Add an approver (optional or predefined in your approval workflows).

  • Click Send for signature or Create the envelope in DocuSign, depending on your integration settings.

Cancel the signature process

If you need to cancel a signature:

  • Click "..." in the top right corner of the contract page.

  • Select Cancel signature process.

  • You will be able to restart the signature process later by following the steps above.

Important: If the envelope was sent via DocuSign, only the person who created and sent the envelope can cancel it, whether from DocuSign or from Tomorro.

Track the signature

The status is automatically updated in Tomorro:

  • Pending

  • Signed

If you wish to send reminders to signatories, this must be done directly from DocuSign.

Once signed:

  • The final PDF is added to the contract

  • The signature date is automatically filled in

  • The contract is archived in your contract repository
