Send a contract generated in Tomorro for signature

How to send a contract generated in Tomorro for signature?

Updated today

Prerequisite: You have completed the negotiation of your contract and are now ready to launch the signature process with the counterparty.

If the contract type you are using has been configured by your administrators to use Tomorro's native signature, the entire process — including the signing phase — takes place within Tomorro.

Preparing the signature

  • To get started, open the contract and click "Send".

  • Choose to send the contract for signature by clicking "Prepare signature".

Button is greyed out? Check in review mode that all your suggestions or comments have been resolved.

Signature zones & settings

  • Signature zones appear in blue (your organisation) and yellow (your counterparty).

Need to add new signature zones? Add them directly on the document with your mouse cursor — a "✚" appears on your contract.

  • Add the signatories in the panel on the right of the screen under "Signatories".

  • Customize the signature if necessary (optional)

Once signature preparation is complete, all red indicators will have disappeared.

  • Click "Validate preparation" at the top right of your platform.

Button is greyed out? This usually means that at least one signature zone has not yet been added to the contract. Add the missing signature zone(s) to be able to validate the preparation.

Sending for signature

You will then be redirected to the "Send for signature" page, where you will find:

  • The names of the signatories (internal and external)

  • The signature order

  • The note addressed to the counterparty (predefined by your administrators or customisable)

  • Automatic reminders (customisable)

The counterparty receives a reminder every 5 days, for a total of 3 reminders.

  • Check the settings

  • Click Send for signature to confirm

Approval workflow before signature

In the case of Tomorro's native signature, if signing the document is subject to an approval workflow, it will appear as shown below:

By clicking Send for signature, the approvers will be notified.

Once the contract has been approved by all approvers, it will automatically be sent to the signatories. At the time of signing, the signatory will be able to enter their first name, last name, and any other required information.

Track the signature status of all your contracts via your dashboard: Negotiations in progress.
