Link a smart field to a counterparty

How to find your counterparties' information in one click?

Updated yesterday

This feature is available only for administrators.

Centralize, update, and auto-fill smart fields related to your counterparties by linking them directly to the relevant data.

Create a smart field

➡️ To learn how to create a smart field, click here.

To know the different types of fields and their use, click here: Smart field types.

Link the smart field to the counterparty

  • Select "Counterparty smart field", in the "Data related to" section

The field will be visible on the counterparty pages and the summary sheets.

  • Click on "Save this smart field" to confirm ✅

From a contract or a contract type, you also have the ability to create a smart field and link it to the counterparty.

Edit the data linked to a smart field

You can change the data linked to a smart field at any time from the "Dynamic components" or from a contract or a contract type:

  • Click on "Data related to" and change the link by selecting the desired option.

  • Click on "Save changes" to confirm the modification.

Complete the counterparty fields

When creating a contract

Fields linked to the counterparty are automatically pre-filled when creating a contract if the counterparty's information is already known in Tomorro.

Otherwise, they will appear directly in the section dedicated to fields to be reviewed by the counterparty.

However, you can complete them yourself if you already have this information in advance.

Edit a counterparty field from the contract

Editing a counterparty field from a contract does not replace a value that already exists on the counterparty record.

Here is how synchronization works:

  • When creating a contract → fields are pre-filled from the counterparty record ✅

  • When editing in the contract, if the field is empty on the counterparty record → the value is passed to the record ✅

  • When editing in the contract, if the field is already filled on the counterparty record → the record is not updated ❌

To edit an existing counterparty value, go directly to the counterparty record.
