A contract type is a reference framework that governs the entire lifecycle of the contracts derived from it: creation, negotiation, signature, and tracking.
It is made up of two distinct and complementary parts:
the template (content)
the automations (management rules)
Understanding the template section
The template section corresponds to the reference contractual document.
It allows you to:
Preserve or edit the contract formatting
Translate the document if needed
Centralise the contractual content used for each contract
The template defines the legal content of the contract.
Understanding the automations section
The automations section lets you configure all the contract management rules throughout its entire lifecycle.
Settings are organised by stage:
They determine how contracts based on this contract type should be created, negotiated, signed, and monitored.
