Configure contract follow-up

How can you ensure contract follow-up after signature?

Updated over a week ago

Feature available to administrators only.

The Follow-up tab helps you anticipate contractual deadlines.

Configure the summary sheet

The summary sheet lets you control the information displayed on each contract to highlight the key data to track.

Choose the information displayed on the contract

By default, the summary sheet displays Tomorro defaults smart fields (e.g. dates, term, renewal, notice period, counterparty, etc.).

Depending on your configuration, additional fields may appear automatically:

  • Fields used in the contract name or dynamic archiving
These fields are displayed directly in the summary sheet.

  • Fields used in the contract content or in a condition
These fields appear in the Other fields section.

Add additional fields

To display more information:

  • Click Add in the relevant section (Counterparty or Contract).

  • Select an existing field or create a custom field.

  • The field is added to the summary sheet.

Manage field visibility

For each field, you can define its visibility:

  • Always show: the field is always shown.

  • Hide if empty: the field appears only if it has a value.

  • Always hide: the field is not shown in the summary sheet and remains accessible under Other fields.

This configuration helps keep the summary sheet clear while retaining access to all contract information.

Add a default value

  • On the relevant field, click ....

  • Select Add a default value.

  • Enter the value or select the desired option.

  • Click outside the field to save.

Specific case: link the start date to the signature date

To automatically align the start date with the signature date:

  • On the Start date field, click ....

  • Select Add default value.

  • Check Same as signature date.

The start date will automatically be filled in once the contract is signed (via Tomorro or DocuSign).

Modify or remove a default value

On the relevant field, click ..., then select:

  • Edit the value directly

  • Remove it by clicking the X

Changes are not retroactive. Contracts already created are not impacted.

Configure automatic reminders

Tomorro helps you anticipate key contract deadlines with automatic or custom reminders, configurable to your needs.

Use default reminders

Tomorro automatically generates reminders to track important contract deadlines.

  • Fixed-term contract with a notice period
A reminder is triggered 1 month before the start of the notice period.

Example: A contract ending on 12/31/2022 with a 2-month notice period generates a reminder on 10/01/2022.

  • Fixed-term contract without a notice period
A reminder is triggered 1 month before the contract end date.

  • Open-ended contract
    No automatic reminder is created.
You can add a custom reminder if needed.

Default reminders can be deleted and replaced with custom reminders.

Automate custom reminders

Custom reminders are created manually to meet specific needs.

You can:

  • Name the reminder.

  • Set a fixed date: the reminder is triggered on the selected date.

  • Set a relative date: the reminder is triggered, for example:

    • X days or months before the end date,

    • X days or months before the start of the notice period,

    • or any other important contractual milestone.

  • Set notification recipients:

    • All users with access to the contract (default),

    • Only participants,

    • Specific members or groups.

  • Confirm by clicking Save this reminder

A reminder can be edited or deleted at any time via the corresponding icon.
