Tomorro helps you easily track contract renewals and notice periods using dedicated fields available directly in the contract summary.
This gives you a clear view of upcoming deadlines, without any manual calculations.
Understand how renewals work
Define the initial end date
The initial end date corresponds to the first expiration date of the contract, before any renewal occurs.
Example : A contract signed from January 1 to December 31, with a tacit renewal of 3 months, will have an initial end date set to December 31.
Choose the renewal type
Two renewal types are available:
None: the contract ends on the initial end date.
Tacit: the contract is automatically renewed at each deadline, unless terminated.
Set the renewal duration
This field is only used when the contract has a tacit renewal.
It defines the length of each automatic renewal period.
Once the initial end date is reached, the contract is renewed for the duration defined in this field.
Example: A contract ending on December 31 with a 3-month renewal will be extended:
until March 31,
then until June 30,
and so on.
Track the next renewal date
The next renewal date is automatically calculated by Tomorro.
It depends on the current date, the initial end date, and the renewal duration.
This field cannot be edited manually.
Example:
Before December 31 → next renewal date: December 31
After December 31 → next renewal date: March 31
End a renewal
To end a renewal, simply mark the contract as terminated. In order to mark a contract as terminated, you must be a participant in the contract and administrator.
No further renewals will be applied.
Use renewal fields in your daily workflows
Renewal fields are not only informational, they help you automate your contract management.
Use renewal fields in conditions
The Renewal type and Renewal duration fields can be used to:
dynamically display contract clauses,
automatically organize contracts in the contract library,
add approval steps before signature,
generate a summary dedicated to tacitly renewed contracts.
Use renewal fields in reminders
Reminders notify you ahead of each renewal deadline.
Example: For a contract ending on December 31 with a 3-month renewal:
reminder on November 30 (before the initial end date),
reminder on February 28 (before the next renewal),
and before each subsequent renewal.
Understand renewal reminders
Tomorro automatically applies reminders to all contracts, whether they are created or imported.
How automatic reminders work
By default : a reminder is sent one month before the contract end or renewal date.
With a notice period: the reminder is adjusted and sent one month before the notice period starts.
Example with a notice period : For a renewal on December 31 with a 14-day notice period:
notice period starts on December 17,
reminder is sent on November 16 (one month before the notice period starts).
Thanks to smart renewal tracking and automated reminders, Tomorro helps you anticipate contract deadlines and avoid unwanted renewals with confidence.
