Creating a contract in Tomorro is done in three steps: select a contract type, det up the contract, then Fill out the form.
Start a new contract
Click + New contract at the top left of your homepage.
Select Start a contract.
Select a contract type
Search for or select the desired contract type from the available list.
The visible contract types depend on the permissions granted by your organization’s Tomorro administrators.
If the contract type you are looking for does not appear, contact your administrator.
Set up the contract
Depending on your needs, several options may be available.
Indicate whether it is an amendment
Enable the option Is this an amendment? if the contract modifies an existing contract.
In this case, select the related initial contract.
Choose the document source
Two options are available:
Internal template: use a template previously approved by your organization.
External document: use a document provided by the counterparty.
Select the language
Choose the document language.
The available language depends on the selected source:
Internal template: select the language from those configured in the contract type.
External template: the language corresponds to the imported document.
Generate multiple contracts
Use the Generate multiple contracts option to create contracts in bulk.
See the dedicated article on creating multiple contracts in bulk.
Fill out the form
The fields displayed in this section depend on the configuration defined by your organization.
Select the counterparty
Search for and select the counterparty.
If it does not exist, click + Create "Name of the counterparty" to add it.
Each contract, including an internal contract, must have a counterparty.
This is because the signature process always requires two distinct parties in Tomorro. For an internal contract, enter your collaborator’s first and last name: they will be considered an external signatory to enable the signature process.
Configure the contract name and folder
Define the contract name and storage folder if these elements have not been configured automatically.
Complete the required fields
Fill in all necessary fields to generate the contract.
Some fields are linked native fields: they update automatically based on the information you select.
Understand how linked native fields work
When you complete a structuring field, other fields may automatically appear or disappear.
Example: Term type
If you select Fixed term, the Initial end date field automatically appears to define the contract end date.
This logic also applies to other linked native fields configured in your contract, for example:
Term type ↔ Initial end date
Term type ↔ Initial term
Renewal type ↔ Renewal duration
Renewal type ↔ Next renewal date
Notice period ↔ Notice duration
Duration ↔ Start date ↔ Initial end date
Modifying one field may trigger the display, update, or automatic calculation of one or more related fields.
Click Create contract to finalize the creation.
