Add initials to a signature

How to add initials to a signature in Tomorro?

Updated today

Initials allow you to place abbreviated signatures on each page of a contract, in addition to the final signature. On Tomorro, this feature is only available during signature preparation.

Prepare the signature

  • Open the contract ready to be signed.

  • Click Prepare signature.

Add signature zones

Click on the area of the contract where you want to position the signatures.

Add signatories

The Initials tab is only available if at least one signatory has been added.

Add initials

  • Click on the area of the contract where you want to position the initials. If the Initials tab is greyed out, it means no signatory has been defined.

  • Click the Initials button — Tomorro automatically generates an initials zone for each signatory. These zones will be automatically replicated on all pages of the document.

  • Click Validate preparation to finalise sending the contract for signature.

Initial the contract

Enter your initials

During the signing process (by clicking sign or start signing), a window opens asking you to enter:

  • First name

  • Last name

  • Initials (dedicated field for initials)

The initials entered here will be used for all initials zones.

Validate all initials zones

During signing:

  • Click on each initials zone, one after the other.

  • Validate each insertion of initials until the end of the document.

Once all zones have been validated, the document signing is complete. A message will confirm that your signature and initials have been registered. You will receive a copy by email of the fully signed document once all signatories have completed their signatures.
