Send a contract to a counterparty

How to send a contract via the Guest Portal or as a Word document?

Updated today

Once your contract is created, your fields are completed and your version validated, you can send it to your counterparty in two ways:

The process is identical — only the sending option changes.

Please note: Tomorro only supports bilateral contracts.
Tripartite or multipartite contracts are not supported.

A contract can therefore include only one counterparty company, with multiple users attached to that company.

Send the contract

Configure the send

  • Click on Send

  • Select Send for review

  • Choose the format:

    • Editor Version → access via the Tomorro portal

    • Word Version → sent as an attachment

Add information

  • Add contacts (email addresses required)

  • Add a note (optional)

    • Read

    • Comment

    • Suggest

  • Choose the language

  • Click "Send" ✅.

The counterparty receives an email:

  • with secure access to the portal (6-digit code)

  • or with the Word document attached

Manage an approval before sending

  • Click "Send".

  • Then "Share with counterparty"

If an "Approval before sending" section appears, it means an approval workflow is required before the contract can be sent.

  • Wait for the approvers' validation

  • A notification is sent by email and in Tomorro

Once the approval is validated, the contract is automatically sent to the counterparty

Send a reminder to the counterparty

When a contract is awaiting the counterparty's review during negotiation, you can send them a reminder directly from the contract page.

To remind one or more counterparty contacts:

  • Open the relevant contract.

  • In the External participants section, click Send Reminder next to the contact you want to remind.

  • A confirmation window appears: "Send a reminder?"

  • Click Confirm to send it.

The counterparty receives a reminder email prompting them to take the next step on the contract.
