Send and track an approval workflow on a contract

How to send a contract for approval, track its progress, or adjust approvers?

Updated today

Tomorro allows you to trigger and monitor an approval workflow directly from the contract, before:

  • Sending to the counterparty

  • Sending for signature

Trigger an approval workflow

Sending a contract for approval and sending the contract itself are managed from the same panel.

From this panel, you can:

  • View the approval workflow

  • Identify the steps required before sending or signature

  • Add approvers if no approval workflow has been defined

  • Once the contract is sent for approval, approvers receive a notification.

An automatic reminder is sent every 2 days until a decision is made.

Automatically send the contract after approval

Once all approvals are validated:

  • The contract is automatically sent to the counterparty,or

  • Sent for signature,

depending on the configured step.

No additional manual action is required.

Add or modify approvers

If no approval workflow has been defined, you can:

  • Add one or more approvers (administrators or managers)

  • Do so even during negotiation

This applies to:

  • Sending to the counterparty

  • Sending for signature

Track approval progress

Approval tracking is available directly within the contract.

The tracker displays:

  • The different workflow steps

  • The status of each approver (pending, approved, rejected)

  • The real-time progress of the process

The view updates automatically after each action.

Reassign an approver in case of absence

In case of absence, an administrator or manager can:

  • Reassign the approval to another administrator or manager

This action is performed directly from the contract.

Cancel an approval workflow

You can cancel an ongoing approval workflow.

Cancelling allows you to:

  • Freely edit the contract

  • Relaunch a new approval workflow

  • Add approvers if none were initially defined

You must be a participant in the contract to cancel an approval workflow.
