Track clauses in a project

How to track clauses in a project?

Updated over a month ago

This feature is only available for projects where the content has been inserted into the Tomorro text editor, specifically:

  • Projects generated from a template containing pre-configured clauses

  • Projects created from an external document inserted into the editor, where one or more clauses have been manually added

Access clause tracking

  1. Open a project in Review Mode

  1. Click the “Clauses” icon in the menu on the right

A dedicated section will open, displaying the following information:

Number of Inserted Clauses

This section shows the total number of clauses inserted into the project, divided into two categories:

Initial clauses (in blue): Clauses that have not been modified

Modified clauses (in orange): Clauses that have been changed after being inserted

Clause List

This section also provides the full list of all clauses included in the project.

Identify a modified clause

To determine whether a clause has been modified:

  • Go to the “Clauses” section of the project

  • A pie chart shows the ratio of initial to modified clauses

  • Modified clauses are marked with a “Modified” tag in the list

  • In the document, modified clauses appear with an orange border

Note: A clause is considered modified as soon as any change is made : even a space.

Find a clause in the document

To quickly find a specific clause in the document:

  • Hover over the clause in the “Clauses” section

  • Click the magnifying glass icon that appears

  • You will be automatically redirected to the corresponding clause in the document

Edit a clause

Clause editing is reserved for administrators.

Administrators can edit a clause directly from the “Clauses” section:

  • Hover over the clause

  • Click the pencil icon

  • Make the desired changes

  • Click “Edit Clause”, then confirm the modification

Important

Editing a clause will automatically update its content across all templates that use it.
However, clauses that have already been inserted into existing projects (whether ongoing, signed, or completed) will not be updated automatically.
