The Tomorro add-in for Microsoft Word allows you to negotiate on an external document while centralizing version history in Tomorro, and to access AI features directly within the tool.
With the Tomorro add-in, you can:
Negotiate on an external Word document while centralizing versions and history in Tomorro
Upload versions to a contract without leaving Word
Use the Tomorro AI assistant directly in Word (summaries, legal clause drafting, translation)
Launch AI-assisted negotiations using built-in playbooks and recommendations
Link a Word document to a Tomorro contract
Your Word document only needs to be linked once to a Tomorro contract for the entire negotiation.
Link a document to a contract
Click the link icon in the Word add-in
Hover over Link contract, then click it
You will be redirected to Tomorro in your browser
Choose the type of link
Select the organization (if you have several)
Choose one of the following options:
Link to an existing contract: search for and select the contract
Link to a new contract: select New contract, choose the associated template, and complete the creation form
With Word, private comments and some Tomorro editor features are not retained during import.
➡️ When linking for the first time to a new contract, the document is automatically imported as the first version of the contract.
You can then continue working freely on your Word document.
When you want to save a new version in the contract, simply click Upload version directly from Word.
Upload a version to a contract without leaving Word
Prerequisites before uploading a version:
You must be logged in to your account Tomorro
The Word document must be linked to a contract Tomorro
If you have made unsynced changes in Word, a grey banner Sync your changes appears above the chat in the add-in to alert you. Upload the version before continuing so nothing is lost.
Click the button with the upward arrow icon: when hovering over it, the message Upload version will appear
Check the confirmation message: once the document is uploaded, a green Uploaded message will appear, confirming that the document has been added as a new version in the contract
➡️ The document is added as a new version in the contract.
If the upload does not work, check the following:
Is the contract in signature or already signed?
You cannot upload a new version if the contract is in the signature process or already signed.Do you have the required permissions?
Make sure you have the necessary rights to upload a new version of the document.

Results
Spelling and grammar mistakes are corrected automatically.
All changes are applied using Word's track changes, giving you full control.
Legal terms and consistency across the document (party names, definitions) are preserved.
This feature allows you to quickly secure a document before sending it or submitting it for signature, while keeping full human control.
Translate legal content
Select the text to translate
Launch the translation from the chat
➡️ Translations are available in multiple languages, while preserving legal terminology as much as possible.
The translated content can then be inserted directly into the document if needed.
Use Legal Search in Word
You can now access Legal Search directly from the Word add-in, without going back to the Tomorro application.
Open Oro in the Word add-in.
In the Chat tab of the add-in, click Legal Search in the action bar located at the bottom of the chat. If the action does not appear, check that you are on the Chat tab and not on Analysis.
Ask your French law question in natural language.
Oro provides you with a structured answer with verifiable sources (Légifrance, Journal Officiel, etc.).
This feature is available only for organizations on the V6 plan. For more details, see the article Use Legal Search in Oro.
Generate and insert clauses with AI
The AI relies on a corpus of clauses drafted and validated by Tomorro's legal teams, grouped by contract type.
When you request a clause:
The contract type is automatically identified
The clause matching this typology is selected
The content is adapted to the current document
The proposed clauses are not generic responses, but carefully drafted and internally validated legal clauses.
Adjust the clause through dialogue
Request the drafting of a clause (e.g. a confidentiality clause)
A first version is generated
Refine the content by interacting with the AI:
Shorter or longer
More or less strict
Add or remove concepts
Insert the clause into the document
Place the cursor where you want to insert the clause
Click Insert to add the clause in one click
Formatting is preserved thanks to existing Word styles.
Draft free content and insert it as a comment
Ask the AI to draft the desired content
Generate a draft
Click Insert as comment
The content is added directly as a Word comment, in one click.
Launch an AI-assisted negotiation in Word
Select the analysis
From the add-in home screen, choose Analysis (Playbook compliance) to launch a playbook analysis.
The Correction (Legal drafting) option is dedicated to spelling and grammar proofreading.
Select a Playbook
In this section, you will find all Tomorro playbooks, drafted by our internal legal teams.
The list now shows all accessible playbooks:
The Market standard playbooks drafted by Tomorro's legal teams (with a flag indicating the language).
The internal playbooks configured by your organization in your Tomorro CLM.
Each playbook shows its number of rules and its status (Published or Draft).
Select the playbook that fits your use case. Use the search bar to find it more quickly.
Launch the document analysis.
Playbook visibility by role:
Administrators also see internal playbooks in Draft state.
Other roles only see Published playbooks.
If you belong to several organizations, you can access the playbooks of all eligible organizations. When the add-in is opened from a specific contract, the list is limited to the playbooks of the contract's organization.
Review the recommendations
Results are displayed with:
A summary bar
A color code:
Green (acceptable)
Red (not acceptable)
Orange (low confidence)
For each rule, a See more link opens the detail:
If the recommendation is acceptable: Why? and Your rule (exact label defined in the playbook).
If the recommendation is not acceptable: Why?, What should I do? and Your rule, along with a Suggested rephrasing (to rephrase an existing clause) or a Draft clause (to add a missing clause) on the card.
Apply a rephrasing or insert a clause
For each not acceptable recommendation, the add-in proposes either a Suggested rephrasing (to rephrase an existing clause), or a Draft clause (to add a missing clause).
Each card offers:
A See more link to open the rule detail.
A Show full text link to expand the rephrasing or draft if the text is truncated.
The Resolve and Apply actions (or Insert clause for a draft), with a dropdown to choose between a direct application and an application with track changes.
You can:
Apply recommendation (or Insert clause for a draft): the rephrasing replaces or the new clause is added directly in the document.
Apply with track changes: the change is applied via Word's track changes, so you keep a record of every change.
Resolve: the suggestion is marked as resolved without modifying the document.
Apply all: all recommendations are processed in a single action. Use Restart analysis to refresh the results after modifying the document.
There is no distinction between a markup suggested by the AI and one created manually.
