Benefits of Creating a Template
Templates are the foundation of your use of Tomorro. When properly configured, they ensure optimal functionality, saving you time and improving efficiency for you and your teams.
Templates correspond to the types of documents and contracts you will manage in Tomorro:
Your own documents: Employment contracts, NDAs, client contracts, partnerships, etc.
Received contracts: Supplier contracts (often drafted by your partners, but important to archive and track, especially for deadlines).
Create a Template
Go to "Templates" from the left-hand menu.
Click on "New Template" at the top right.
1️⃣ Without a Document - Using the Tomorro Editor
You can create a template from scratch or manage document types that do not have a fixed template (e.g., supplier contracts).
2️⃣ From a Word Document
If you already have a prepared template in Word format (.docx), you can import it directly into Tomorro for configuration.
Steps:
Select "With a Word Document."
Upload your file (.docx only — convert .doc files to .docx if necessary).
Name your template (you can modify it later).
Specify the document’s language (for visual reference only, Tomorro does not translate content).
Click "Start Creating Your Template".
Note: Formatting may be slightly altered upon import. Take a few minutes to review and adjust it using the Tomorro editor if needed.
Set usage rights for my template
Tomorro allows you to easily define who can use a template to create a new project.
Open the relevant template in the "Templates" section.
Click on "Usage Rights" in the top right.
By default, the template is available to all users.
Restrict Access
Uncheck "Available to All".
Add the authorized members or groups.
Once you add members/groups, only they will be able to use the template.
Modify or remove usage rights
At any time, you can:
Add new members/groups to grant access.
Remove members/groups by clicking the X next to their name.
Make the template "Available to All" again.
Finalize and publish the template
Once your template is set up:
Click "Publish Template" (top right) to make it usable by you and your teams.
When you update a template’s settings, those changes will apply to all future projects created with that template.
Important: An unpublished template remains a draft and cannot be used to create a project. You can find it in the Drafts tab.
Advanced management and customization
For each template, you can fine-tune settings:
Templates management : Duplication, deletion etc.
Procedures & Workflows: Define approval rules.
Summary sheet: Manage automatic archiving and document summary information.
Participants: Assign a default manager, define participants, and set permissions.
Editing Rights: Choose whether users can edit or suggest changes to the document.
