Smart fields are tags integrated into the project template by your organization’s administrators.
Advantage of the smart fields
Easily identify the information that needs to be completed
Save time with a dedicated form
Ensure a smooth completion process for both parties
Colour difference between smart fields
Fields can be assigned either to your organization or to the counterparty. Their color in the project indicates who is responsible for filling them out.
Blue: Fields must be filled out by your organization.
Only members of your organization can access and complete them.
Yellow: Fields are assigned to the counterparty.
These can be completed by the counterparty, or by you, using the form.
The form is divided into two sections:
A first section for your organization’s fields
A second for those assigned to the external party
Fill in the smart fields in the project
Access the Form
To fill in fields in the project, switch to review mode. A red dot in the “Form” tab will indicate the remaining fields to complete.
Complete the fields
Fields are filled out directly in the form.
Each time you complete a field, the value you enter is automatically inserted into the project, replacing the placeholder tag.

Send an incomplete project
You can send a project to the counterparty even if some fields are still empty.
This allows the counterparty to complete the fields that are assigned to them.
Move to signature
Tomorro Signature
If you're using Tomorro Signature, all fields assigned to you must be filled out before starting the signing process.
If only the counterparty’s fields are left empty, you can still initiate the signature. The counterparty will need to fill them in before signing.
DocuSign Signature
If you're using the DocuSign integration, all fields must be completed before starting the signature process.
If any fields assigned to the counterparty are still empty, you will need to send or resend the contract so they can fill them out before activating the signature.
