Microsoft Teams

The Tomorro CLM app for Microsoft Teams delivers your contract and task notifications to your personal Teams chat, in real time. From each notification card you can open the contract in one click, reply to a comment, approve or reject a document without leaving Teams.

Setup takes about one minutes and is done by each user for their own account. No configuration is needed from a Tomorro administrator.

Before you start

  • You need a Microsoft 365 work or school account. Personal Microsoft accounts are not supported.

  • If Microsoft Teams doesn't appear in Settings → Integrations, the integration isn't activated for your organization yet. Contact our support or your Customer Success Manager.

1. Install the Tomorro CLM app in Microsoft Teams

  1. In Microsoft Teams, click Apps in the left sidebar and search for Tomorro CLM.

  2. Click Add. A personal chat with Tomorro CLM opens and the bot sends you a welcome message.

Seeing "Request approval" instead of "Add"? Your IT admin has to approve the app once in the Teams admin center. Admins can also install Tomorro CLM for the whole organization (or for a group), so the app appears automatically in everyone's Teams.

2. Connect your Tomorro account

  1. In Tomorro, open Settings → Integrations. Under Personal native integrations, find Microsoft Teams.

  2. Click Connect Microsoft Teams.

  3. Sign in with your Microsoft account. You are redirected to Tomorro and the message "Your Microsoft Teams account has been connected successfully" confirms the connection.

The order doesn't matter. If you connect Tomorro before installing the app in Teams, the Microsoft Teams card shows a Finish setup in Microsoft Teams banner. Install the Tomorro CLM app and the setup completes automatically.

3. Choose which notifications you receive in Teams

  1. Go to Settings → Notifications.

  2. Use the checkboxes in the Teams column. All notifications available for Teams are enabled by default: untick the ones you don't want to receive in Teams.

The list mirrors your email notifications: Contract activities (mentions, comments, counterparty messages, approvals, signatures, new versions), Reminders and Tasks planning. Daily, weekly and monthly summaries stay email-only.

What you receive in Teams

Each event arrives as a card in your Tomorro CLM chat: what happened, on which contract, by whom, plus an Open in Tomorro CLM button that takes you straight to the right place. Cards are displayed in your Tomorro language and also appear in the Teams mobile app.

For example:

  • The counterparty opened your contract, sent a message or sent a new version

  • A colleague mentioned you or replied to your comment

  • A document is waiting for your approval, or has been approved or rejected

  • A signature was requested, canceled or completed

  • A task was assigned to you, or a task you created was completed

Act directly from Teams

Some cards let you act without opening Tomorro:

  • Reply to a comment: when a colleague comments, mentions you or replies to you, type your answer in the card and click Reply. It is posted in the contract in Tomorro. The card tells you whether your reply stays internal or is visible to the counterparty.

  • Approve or Reject: when your approval is requested on a document, click Approve or Reject directly in the card.

The card updates once the action is done. Messages from the counterparty are read-only in Teams: click Open in Tomorro CLM to answer them.

Disconnect Microsoft Teams

Go to Settings → Integrations → Microsoft Teams and click Revoke access. Notifications stop immediately in Teams; your email notifications are unchanged. To also remove the app from Teams, right-click Tomorro CLM in your Apps list and choose Uninstall.

Troubleshooting

  • I'm connected but nothing arrives in Teams. Check that the Tomorro CLM app is installed in Teams (Settings → Integrations shows the Finish setup in Microsoft Teams banner if it isn't), and that the notification is ticked in the Teams column in Settings → Notifications.

  • "This Microsoft account is already connected to another Tomorro member." A Microsoft account can be linked to one Tomorro member only. Revoke the access from the other member first.

  • The connection failed. Start again from Settings → Integrations. The Microsoft sign-in has to be completed within a few minutes.
