Edit my counterparty’s first and last name in the signature

How can I correct a counterparty’s first or last name at the time of signing a contract?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

If an error is detected in the counterparty’s first or last name, the correction must be made by the counterparty themselves.

Access the contract

Modify the information at the time of signature

When signing the contract, the signatory will be asked again to enter:

  • Their first name

  • Their last name

  • Their initials (if initials are required)

They can then correct or modify this information before inserting their signature.

It is not possible to modify this information on their behalf.

Apply the same process on DocuSign

The process is identical on DocuSign.

The signatory must confirm their full name, initials (if required), and signature.

Only the person signing the contract can modify this information.

If there is an error, simply ask the counterparty to proceed with the signature to correct their information.
