To delete a contract, you must be a participant in it, with a role that allows it (see User roles and permissions). A Viewer cannot delete a contract.
To delete a contract, just follow these steps:
Open the contract you want to delete
Click on the "..." at the top right
Select "Delete contract."
Re-enter the word "Delete": if the word is not entered correctly, for example, if there's an extra space at the end, the deletion will not be validated.
Your contract will be deleted.
Deleted a contract by mistake?
Contact our support via chat and provide the contract name, date, and the name of the member who deleted it so we can restore it.
Delete an amendment
An amendment is a contract in its own right, linked to its initial contract. It is deleted the same way: open the amendment, click on the "..." at the top right, then on "Delete contract" and re-enter the word Delete. The same conditions apply. Deleting an amendment does not delete the initial contract.
Delete, terminate or cancel: what is the difference?
Delete contract: the contract and all its data disappear from the repository. Only support can restore it.
Mark as terminated: the contract stays in the repository with the "Terminated" status and an end date. The action can be reversed with "Restore contract" in the same menu, see Indicate a contract as terminated.
Cancel contract: for a contract that is not signed yet, ends the ongoing process. The contract moves to the "Canceled" status and its data is kept.
📌 There is no "Archive" action on a contract: a signed contract stays in the repository. Its name and storage folder are set per contract type, in the Archiving tab, see Configure contract storage.
