Feature reserved for administrators, subject to having a Word document template available.
When you import a Word template into a contract type, Oro AI automatically analyzes the document to identify relevant variables and suggests custom fields that are ready to be used when creating your contracts.
You remain fully in control of the proposed fields at all times, before publishing the contract type.
Import a template into a contract type
Create a new contract type,
Name the contract type,
Import a Word template (for example, an NDA).
As soon as the template is imported, Oro AI automatically starts identifying the variables in the document (dates, parties, subject matter, duration, etc.).
Validate the custom fields suggested by AI
The custom fields identified by Oro are displayed directly in the document as suggestions.
For each proposed field, you must take one of the following actions:
Accept the custom field
Reject the custom field
Edit its configuration before validating it
Switch if the proposed field is incorrect.
or review if it's a new smart field.
The strikethrough text corresponds to the original text in the template, while the suggestion represents the custom field proposed by the AI.
Understand custom field colors
Custom fields are visually differentiated to make them easier to read and use:
Yellow field: field to be filled in by the counterparty
Blue field: field to be filled in by a member of your team
This distinction clearly indicates who is responsible for completing each piece of information when creating a contract.
Identify new fields and existing fields
Some custom fields are marked with a “New” badge:
Fields with the New badge do not yet exist in your custom field library.
They are proposed for review and creation and can be reused in other contract types.
Fields without the badge are existing fields.
Oro prioritizes reusing existing fields to avoid duplicates and ensure structured, consistent data across your contracts.
Review and adjust custom field types
Each custom field displays an icon indicating its data type (text, date, selector, etc.).
Especially for new fields, you can:
Accept the suggested type if it is relevant
Or change the field type (for example, convert a free-text field into a selector with predefined options) to standardize data entry
Automatic addition of signature zones
When creating a contract type from a Word document, if AI analysis is enabled, Tomorro automatically identifies the signature zones present in the document.
These zones are then converted into Tomorro signature zones, directly integrated into the contract type ans you can then edit them.
