Understand the Tomorro audit log

How to enable administrators to track key events in their organisation?

Access

Audit logs are available for admins only on Scale and Enterprise Plans.

To access it, go to your entity settings, then click on Audit Logs.

Hover over the green field to get more information.

Storage period

The audit log table displays events from the last 3 months, regardless of your plan.

Past that point, events are archived: they no longer appear in the table, but remain retrievable through the email export, up to 12 months.

The time range filter offers "Last 12 months". If you select a period that goes back more than 3 months, the table still shows only the last 3 months: use the email export to retrieve the full history.

Logged Events

The audit log covers 11 categories of events. The Category column of the table and the filter of the same name use these labels.

Category names are always displayed in English, whatever the interface language.

Two categories are easy to confuse: smart field changes are listed under Smart fields, while Custom objects covers custom objects and their own fields.

Filter events

From Settings > Audit Logs, you can refine the events displayed:

  • by User

  • by event Category

  • by Time range: Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days (default) or Last 12 months

You can also choose the columns displayed via the Columns button:

  • Required columns (always displayed): Date, User, Category, Event

  • Optional columns: Email, IP address, Object, Change

Export the audit log

Admins can export the audit log. The export mode depends on the selected time range.

Time range of 3 months or less: immediate download

  • Click the menu in the top-right corner

  • Select Raw data (.csv)

The file reflects the selected time range and the active filters.

Time range longer than 3 months: export by email

An Export by email banner appears above the table and the Raw data (.csv) option becomes unavailable, because an immediate download would only cover part of the requested period.

  • Click Start export in the banner

  • You receive an email with a download link as soon as the archive is ready

The download link remains valid for 7 days. An export covers a maximum of 12 months.

Each export is itself recorded in the audit log: the action appears in the activity history.
