Definition of RACI:
Responsible: Who will perform the task?
This person is designated for each task and is responsible for its execution. It is essential that there be a single person responsible to ensure clarity and avoid any misunderstanding about who does what.
Approver: Who has final authority and responsibility?
This is the person who validates the work that has been done. This role is crucial because it involves the ultimate responsibility of ensuring that tasks are completed and meet the required standards. To maintain order and clarity in the validation process, it is recommended that there be only one Approver per task.
Consulted: Who will provide advice or information?
This group may include experts or key stakeholders whose knowledge and expertise are essential to the completion of the task. Communication with those consulted is two-way, allowing for an exchange of information that is vital to the quality of the work.
Informed: Who needs to be kept up to date on progress?
Although they are not directly involved in the execution of tasks, their understanding of the status of the project is essential for overall coordination and alignment.
